New beast has been launched in the market. And it’s not other than Yamaha Fazer 250. This is one of the best bike in the market in present. The looks and the muscular body is awesome of this bike. It is a sports bike and its body is covered. This is one of the best bikes launched by Yamaha. Fazer 250 comes with the new stylish looks. This bike contains lots of new features. Its comfortable and its suspension is excellent.
The Fazer 250 comes with the same engine as the FZ-25, carrying a 249 cc, fuel-4injected engine producing 20.69 bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 20 Nm of torque at 6000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox; however, a 6-speed gearbox would have been preferred for that extra bit of smoothness. The engine is both air and oil cooled, and the gear box type is a constant mesh with a multi-disc wet clutch. There has been a hike in the weight, which makes the bike now stand at 154 kg.
Despite the increase in weight, the efficiency is still at 43 kmpl with a fuel tank capacity of 14 L, which gives a range of over 600 km. The sad part is that we miss the ABS on this whereas the competition Pulsar RS200 comes with a single channel ABS. The LCD screen of FZ-25, also display the real-time fuel efficiency. The looks of the bike make it stand out but Yamaha claims that this has to do more with function than just the form.
The Yamaha FZ-25 had a 0-100 kmph time of under 10 seconds and a top speed of 140 kmph, and since the Fazer 25 is based on a similar platform with the same engine, it should have the same speed and acceleration figures. The braking duties are taken care of by a 282 mm hydraulic disc up front and a 220 mm hydraulic disc for the rear. The bike progresses on fat 100/80-17 front and 140/60-R17 rear tyre. The motorcycle will compete with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and KTM Duke 200.
