Suzuki Gixxer 150 is one of the most exciting budget motorcycles that has been launched. It has a naked street fighter look with sharp front headlight, massive and edgy fuel tank. The headlight shape is inherited from the elder Suzuki offerings. Y-shaped alloy wheels, neatly crafted seats and stubby exhaust muffler makes it a visually arresting motorcycle. The Gixxer consists of a single downtube frame that is powered by 154.9 cc. It is air cooled, 2 valve, single cylinder, SOHC engine capable of producing 14.8 PS of power at 8000 rpm and 14 NM of torque at 6000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The performance of Gixxer is higher than other bike in its segment, specially beating the FZ series. The bike accelerates much impressively than the figures given for its performance and it’s truly a fun to ride.
The Suzuki Gixxer 150 is installed with the conventional telescopic front forks along with a 7-step rear mono-shock that is adjustable. The overall braking duties of the bike are handled by the presence of a 266 mm disc brake at the front along with a drum unit at the rear. Also, the option of 240 mm rear disc is now available. With an engine displacement of 154.9 cc, the bike is expected to deliver an average mileage of around 35-40 kmpl for the city conditions and 45-50 kmpl for the highways. And having the top speed of 115 km/hr. Gixxer draws its inspiration from the sportier, advanced version of the GSX superbikes in terms of its design. With the presence of high-end features like a distinctive headlamp, raised rear, sculpted fuel tank, and the sporty exhaust, this bike carries the look of a high-performance bike.
