Suzuki Gixxer 150 is one of the most exciting budget motorcycles that has been launched. It has a naked street fighter look with sharp front headlight, massive and edgy fuel tank. The headlight shape is inherited from the elder Suzuki offerings. Y-shaped alloy wheels, neatly crafted seats and stubby exhaust muffler makes it a visually arresting motorcycle. The Gixxer consists of a single downtube frame that is powered by 154.9 cc. It is air cooled, 2 valve, single cylinder, SOHC engine capable of producing 14.8 PS of power at 8000 rpm and 14 NM of torque at 6000 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The performance of Gixxer is higher than other bike in its segment, specially beating the FZ series. The bike accelerates much impressively than the figures given for its performance and it’s truly a fun to ride.
The specification of the Suzuki Gixxer 150 including handlebar, seat and foot peg have been designed towards offering a sporty riding position without making any compromises on the overall comfort. For enhanced performance, the bike comes equipped with features like an all-digital instrument cluster including a tachometer, digital clock, fuel gauge, odometer, the service reminder, and the trip meter. Everything from its performance to the looks is much better than people expected. This bike competes against TVS Apache RTR 160, Yamaha FZ-S FI, Honda CB Hornet 160R. In Nepal Gixxer is available in 4 models: Normal, Dual tone Single Disk, Dual tone Double Disk and SP (Special Edition).
