CF Moto 250 NK is the new Australian bike in town with modern design, sporty performance features a brand new 4 valve, DOHC, 250cc single cylinder with balance shaft produces 19.5kW and 22Nm of torque. It provides dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) along with a detailed TFT (Thin Film Transistor) screen which displays a lot of information. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a hydraulic clutch which should reduce lever effort significantly.
The motorcycle shares a similar platform as the 150 NK with modern steel tabular chassis, and suspension set-up includes upside down forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear to absorb the bumps. Bosch fuel injection is used to minimize fuel consumption and to reduce emissions. The hydraulic clutch on a 250-cc bike was a surprise because it is usually only seen on very high-performance bikes. The clutch is very soft to use and will be very useful on stop and go traffic as it requires less effort than the conventional clutch wires.
250 NK looks good in all the angle. The headlight is slightly angled which looks like it is titled backwards. The most distinct part of the bike is the tail section and has aerodynamic cut-outs that lets the air pass right through. The number plate is mounted on the rear tire hugger to maintain the sleek looking back end. Only the tail lights and turn signals are mounted on the tail. Under belly exhaust is equipped that cleans up the sides of the bike. The TFT screen has a brightness setting which can be adjusted accordingly.
It also has a proximity sensor that changes the colour of the display from white while in the sun light to black in the dark for better visibility. There are two modes: rain mode and sport mode. The display of the TFT screen is changed according to the modes. In rain mode the bike feels a little sluggish and slow to move but the main point is to make sure that the bike don’t slip on the wet surface. Whereas in the sport mode the throttle becomes more responsive to the input and feels quite a bit quicker. Price in Nepal – Rs. 5,25,500.
