Overview

The all-new Bajaj Dominar 250 has been introduced by HH Bajaj, the official distributor of Bajaj motorcycles in Nepal. While sporting the same appearance as its larger 400cc counterpart, the Dominar 250 offers the same appeal with a smaller 250cc engine.

The design of the Bajaj Dominar 250 is in line with that of the Dominar 400, with comparable features such as a Twin-Barrel Exhaust, New Mirrors, USD Forks, and a Secondary Display.While maintaining the same muscular and aggressive design, as well as all-LED lights and powerful performance, Bajaj’s 250cc sports tourer sets itself apart from its sibling with a lighter weight.The Bajaj Dominar 250 is available in a choice of two colors: Canyon Red and Charcoal Black.

Performance

The Bajaj Dominar 250 is equipped with a 248.77cc, Single-Cylinder, Liquid-Cooled, 4-Valve, DOHC Engine capable of producing a maximum power of 27PS at 8500 rpm and a maximum torque of 23.5Nm at 6500 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox featuring an assist and slipper clutch, and utilizes a traditional twin-spark ignition configuration instead of the triple-spark ignition found in its counterpart. Although it is a re-tuned version of the KTM Duke 250 engine, it is specifically tuned to suit the sports tourer appeal. Additionally, the Bajaj Dominar 250 complies with EURO4 regulations rather than BS6 standards.

Dimensions and Suspension

In terms of dimensions, the Bajaj Dominar 250 has a length of 2156 mm and a width of 836 mm, while standing 1112 mm tall and having a wheelbase of 1453 mm. It weighs 180 kg and offers a ground clearance of 157 mm, with a seat height of 800 mm.

The Dominar 250 features Telescopic USD Fork suspension at the front and Multi-step adjustable Mono shocks with Nitrox suspension at the rear. The front brake is a 300 mm disc, while the rear brake is a 230 mm disc, and both are accompanied by alloy wheels. Furthermore, the tubeless tyres have a front size of 100/80-17 and a rear size of 130/70-17.

Top-speed and Mileage

The Bajaj Dominar 250 boasts a mileage of 35 kmpl and has an impressive acceleration rate of approximately 10.5 seconds for 0-100 kmph. The company-claimed top speed of the 250cc sports commuter motorcycle is 132 kmph.

Pricing

The Bajaj Dominar 250 is priced between Rs. 5.67 Lakhs and Rs. 5.94 Lakhs.

The company has raised the price of its well-received tourer model by a significant amount of Rs. 47,000. Moreover, other Bajaj products such as Bajaj Pulsar 220F, Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise, and Bajaj Dominar 400 have also experienced a price increase.
